Club Hut News

This news is posted on October 1st 2009

At the recent AGM the club took a decision to move forward on the hut front. We agreed to try and negotiate a time-share deal with the Lancashire Mountaineering Club (LMC) for the use of their current hut at Blea Tarn (Lake District), the future hut at Beddgelert (North Wales) and the static caravan at Tyndrum (Scottish Highlands). The full decision  is here.

A sub-committee has been formed who will be negotiating the arrangements with the LMC. The AGM seemed particularly keen on the idea of buying a bundle of hut-nights in perpetuity from the LMC which we could use as we wish, whether for trip bookings or for individual visits.

The Hut Officer can be contacted at hut@redrope.org.uk
